The German Forestry Council e. V. (DFWR) represents all actors involved in forests and forestry in the Federal Republic of Germany.

As the leading advocacy group in the forestry sector, we are able to bundle the diverse interests of our members. DFWR gives the green third of Germany – 11.4 million hectares of forest area – and the approximately 2 million forest owners a voice. The DFWR has a wide-ranging national and international network. It communicates the interests of sustainable and multifunctional forestry to political decision-makers and actively pursues public relations.
